Bothering

If someone is doing something that bothers you, you could ask them to stop. If they keep on doing it, it might be an unconventional way of saying, “I don’t think you should be so bothered by it.” Then you could:

  1. Try putting the energy you have used being bothered by it, into not being bothered anymore and see what happens.
  2. Tell them the bad thing that happened last time someone did the thing that bothered you. (Example: “The last time someone threw sand at me, some got into my ear.”)
  3. Let them know that you are a limited person and have trouble changing how you feel when someone does something like that. Tell them that you will try not to be bothered by it sometime in the future, but it would really help if they stopped for now. Get into a conflict (see next.)
